Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA): Banking sector non-performing loans ratio is 4.03 percent in January

Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) published sector data for January 2019.

According to BRSA data, the ratio of non-performing loans to total loans in the banking sector was 4.03 percent in January. This rate was 3.87 percent in December.

The capital adequacy ratio of the banking sector was realized as 17 percent and the core capital adequacy ratio was 14 percent.

Total profit of the banking sector declined by 29 percent in January to TL 3.21 billion. The same period of the previous year was 4.54 billion TL.

Total assets of the sector amounted to TL 3.86 trillion while total loans amounted to TL 2.38 trillion.
