Foreign trade deficit decreased by 69.58% in February compared to GTS to $ 1.85 billion, down 62.17% compared to ÖTS - $ 2.19 billion - Trade Minister Pekcan
ANKARA, March 4 (Reuters) - According to the data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan, according to the General Trade System (GTS) and the Private Trade System (ÖTS) in February, foreign trade data were as follows:
* Exports increased by 3.46 percent to $ 13.6 billion in February
* According to ÖTS, imports decreased by 16.6 percent to $ 15.79 billion in February
* According to ÖTS, foreign trade deficit declined by 62.17 percent in February 2019 from $ 5.79 billion in February 2014 to $ 2.19 billion.
* Exports increased by 3.7 percent to $ 14.31 billion in February compared to GTS
* Imports by GTS amounted to $ 16.16 billion, down 18.7 percent in February
* According to GTS, foreign trade deficit declined by 69.58 percent to $ 1.85mn in February 2019 from $ 6.08 billion in February 2018
