US consumer confidence rises in March
Consumer Confidence in the US rose with optimism about revenues and the economy. The University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index, which was announced today, increased from 93.8 to 97.8 in March.
The expectation was 95.7. The current conditions index was 111.2, while the expectation index rose to 89.2 compared to the 88.1 forecast and peaked since October.
Inflation expectations fell by 2.4% to the lowest level since 2017. 5 - 10-year inflation expectation increased from 2.3% to 2.5%.
Data showed that economic growth will find support for consumer confidence in the coming months.
